Why we charge for AI features
The short answer: because the alternative is worse.
No ads. Ever.
Ads in a medical app create a conflict of interest. We never want to be incentivized to show you something because an advertiser paid us — only because it helps you.
We will never sell your data.
Your health data is not a product. We don't sell it, share it with third parties, or use it for advertising purposes — period. The only reason your data exists in GlucoLab is to help you.
AI costs real money to run.
Every AI analysis, meal score, and weekly digest costs us in compute and API fees. A small subscription keeps the lights on without needing investors who might pressure us to monetize your data later.
The core app is free. Always.
Logging, history, patterns, reports, care partner access — none of that is behind a paywall. The AI layer is optional. We charge for it honestly so we never have to make money off of you in ways that compromise your trust.
